DONT TOUCH ME IM BURNING UP

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

hot fiya. dont touch me please. your little bramble fingers will surely catch ablaze if you touch me right now. hot fiya. it would be highly advisable for you to refrain from touching me right now.
we’re flying to cancun on saturday to tape for the next season of the Real World. We are playing a show down there and making the theme song for the show. We’re also gonna attempt to cool down from all this hot fiya burnin up type shit that we are currently on.
Next Monday it’s off to Panama City Florida for MTV Spring Break on the Beach. We’re performing. I’m assuming there will be a stiff reprimand from MTV if we set their beach stage on fire, but at this point I don’t know if we are going to be able to help it.
Here are some examples of the kind of stuff that we are dealing with right now:

BRUSSELS

Monday, March 9th, 2009

There could have been no better way to end this tour than in Brussels! That shit was CRAZY – crazier than even Manchester! There was so much energy in the crowd for the show, and as usual it just got us all cranked up and worked into madness. People had 3OH!3 signs and shit up front it was really flattering! Everyone was really pumped and giddy backstage – it seems like it’s always like that on the last day of tour. Yeah, wow, we gotta get back to Brussels right quick, mane. Katy was great. Killed it as usual. At one point here sister Angela and pulled me away from the side of the stage and said that she needed me for something. We walked upstairs to the greenrooms, and I see Sean wearing one of Katy’s spandex cat suits. God it was fucking amazing. For the encore of every show Katy runs off the stage and puts on a super sexy sparkling pink or yellow cheetah spandex costume. Sean was wearing the yellow one, because Katy was gonna rock the pink one that night. I slipped into some sort of fucking Zebra, 80’s billowing pants, dress/tunic, was outfitted with a delightfully sassy little top hat, and we mad our way to the side of the stage (all this unknown to Katy of any of here dudes playing). For her last song we ran on stage and did bad things. Humped the shit out of her inflatable cherry chapstick, perhaps broke the shit out of Adam’s million-dollar cymbals, showed Brussels a little side-ball perhaps. It was real fun.

So there it is! Ending our first European tour on the highest note possible! We couldn’t have asked for a better time. Playing to sold out rooms of at least 1,500 people every night – are you kidding me??!?! Awesome. Thanks so much to Katy and her wonderful team for bringing us out there – I think we were really able to lay the groundwork for some wonderful stuff in the near future. Bobby, Superdave, Fern, Red, Teagan, Julia, Aaron, Todd, Angela, Patrick, Korel, Josh, Adam and Katy – THANKS SO MUCH!

GOODBYE GERMANY

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

We drove to Frankfurt the next morning. Watched Vanilla Sky on the way. Not a huge fan of Penelope Cruz usually but she is fucking hot is that movie, man. I would love to just hold her a little bit. Maybe make out for a while who knows?
We got all juiced up before the set in Frankfurt – mad pushups and shit to get all swolled-up. We preformed in front of a velvet curtain tonight, with spotlights on us. It was pretty funny. A really nice German fan came up and we talked about it, and he said that it looked a bit “High School Musical”. I told him that is exactly the fucking thing that we are going for! More Zac Eff and less metal.

The crowd was great – maybe the best of the whole tour – rowdy and ready to party. There were a bunch of Americans who had seen us on Warped. It was rad to meet them. The room was really big and the atmosphere was great.
Next day drive to Hamburg. We got there and checked in at the venue. There was a soccer game there that night – apparently it was the local team (with of a ton of punk, anti-fascist supporters), playing their rival, some other German team (with a bunch of fascist supporters). We saw some serious skinhead dudes walking outside the venue right when we pulled up. That shit sucks, man. It sucks anywhere and unconditionally, but especially for there to be skinheads here. Wow.
Anyways, the neighborhood we were in was crazy – apparently it is Germany’s version of Amsterdam’s red-light district – sex shops galore. The show was cool – the venue is a real old-school rock club, and has a bunch of charm. We all went out for a bit with the whole Katy crew afterwards and had a bunch of laughs.

MÜNCHEN

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

We finally got a nice day to sleep in… to sleep in a baller hotel. Got up and went exploring in Munich. It was really nice day everyone is tall and everything is clean. I got some time to work on some beats and do some serous emailing, then we went to the venue, a big open hall. People at the show were great – there were a bunch of peeps who knew our songs and we sold a shitload of CDs. Pink came to the show and watched some of Katy’s set. We almost threw strawberries from our dressing room at fans, but we got scared of Julia, Katy’s tour manager. I’m such a pussy. I need to be more of a BAD BOY.  Today we are in Frankfurt. We cant stop listening to the new Lily Allen CD in the car. It is really really good. THIS SONG is real hot.

These fucking dudes are sleeping. NEXT.

AMSTER-DAMN! and PARIS

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

We got into Amsterdam late on Saturday night. We went into the city and got a nice dinner and walked around the streets for a while. The next day we went back into the city and to the Milkveg, the venue we played right in the heart of the city. Apparently Milkveg means “Milk-Away” in Dutch. We were told that the place was an old milk bottling factory before being a concert hall, and so quite literally the milk went away. The Milky Way. Milkveg. It was a really nice venue – everyone working there was unbelievable welcoming and nice. This nice woman took care of us all day, feeding us incredible tomato soup for lunch and perhaps the best salad I’ve ever eaten for dinner. We went out again exploring in the city. It is really a wonderful place – really beautiful, and it’s great to know while you wander that you are in such an open and progressive society. We tried to sell our bodies in the red light district for a hot minute. That shit didn’t work. We suck. The show that night was awesome! So much energy from the crowd, and they were really pumped the whole night – some kids said hello to us before the show and we saw them annihilating in front during our set. We had to get to Paris early the next day, so we said peace to Amsterdam soon after the show ended and drove til late in the morning to Lille, to spend the night.

We got up early and drove to Paris. Straight to the Champs de Mars, right at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, for a photo shoot for NME magazine. After that we jetted over to the venue, right in the beautiful Montmartre district of Paris. Elysee Montmartre is an awesome room – really big and open – perfect for a rock show. We did an interview for NME, snapped some pics with Katy, sound checked, and got ready to play. A bunch of my family came to the show – it was so wonderful to see them and hang – they are the best and most supportive people in the world. People at the show were tripping that I was speaking French from stage, ha! Apparently Katy didn’t know I was French and said something like now she has her little French Boy or something… easy there, babe. I went out to dinner with my wonderful French family and friends – it was really very touching for them to come to our show! Great night in Paris. AMAZING night in Paris. Fuck. What a night in Paris.

I woke up today and leisurely went to the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I used to go there probably like 4 times a week. The New Ganesha Corner in La Chapelle in Paris. We hit the road and drove for something like 10 hours today. We just got into Munich and we are staying at this badass hotel that looks like a castle. There is a 5-piece classical ensemble playing in the restaurant. We are having cheese and wine. Get at me Munich.

LONDON!

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

YOYO! first of all, if you want to see amazing photos by our amazing UK tour manager and driver, Peter Hill, CLICK HERE.

He has been taking wonderful photos of the shows out here in Europe, and getting us around safe and sound – we owe him HUGE!!

We got to London early on Thursday and went and did an interview at Channel B TV – their studio set up is really cool – it seems like a really dynamic and young station. The interview was really fun too, the people were real nice and funny. We went to the hotel to drop our shit off – we stayed in Camden, a pretty cool neighborhood, and we were right down the street from the venue, Koko. Koko is RAD. It looks like an old opera house – it is super tall, and has something like 4 balconies. Everything is red a black and gothed-the-fuck-out. It rules. We did a couple interviews and a photoshoot before our show. The show was fun. It seemed like the energy was less than the night before in Manchester, but we still had fun. It seems like people really pay attention to the music out here, like they are really attentive to everything that is going on. It’s great to know that as a performer! The next day was a busy one. As usual whenever we are in big cities on tour or whatever, we never really get any time to do anything besides meetings and press and stuff like that! It’s great because we are doing tons of stuff that is super good for our band, and meeting amazing people and really working hard at what we do, but it is real tiring! Fuck it, we are young, having so much fucking fun, and doing something that we love more than anything – we have no right to bitch. We went and did a photoshoot for this magazine called FRONT in the UK. It’s kinda like a hipster Playboy, and they do a bunch of band coverage. They are doing a 6-page spread on us, and everyone at the mag was super nice and fun. They had made this rad set at the photographer’s studio – we’ll post some pictures up of what it looked like.

Straight from there to lunch at a bomb-ass Italian joint with the UK Atlantic Records team. It was cool to meet the people who are hustling for us our here in Europe – they are doing a great job, and things out here are really exciting and it seems like the fire is catching, or has already been caught. Hard. Real hard! We are getting a bunch of radio play and stuff, all this before our CD is even out here! From lunch we went to meet Stuart Price, a producer who has done a bunch of amazing things (Madonna’s “Confessions…” CD, the latest Killers CD, and some Innerpartysystem stuff) at his crib. He was so nice, man! It was great to chat with him about making music and meet someone who we respect so much. Back to the venue. We were anticipating a hard night, because not only were we playing the opening set for the Katy show, at 7:30PM, but we were also playing the NME club night (also at Koko, just later in the same night) at midnight. We go so apeshit during our shows that the idea of doing two in a night was kinda sobering. It went amazingly well though. For some reason there was FIRE in the crowd last night! Whereas it seemed like some spark was missing the night before at Koko, people were LIVE last night – going crazy for our set and jumping and everything – it was great. We went off, met some homies, and spent some time trying to find a drum set for Adam (Katy Perry’s drummer, who has graced us with his delicious beets many times in the past). A Day to Remember was nice enough to loan us their drum set – they were playing just down the street – big up dudes! Both Adam and Josh (the bass annihilator) played with us during the late set and it was so much fucking fun to get back to rocking with those dudes. They are so fucking good at their instruments, and the play PERFECTLY. There is nothing more fun for us than rocking with those dudes… Man I want more, MORE MORE. The crowd was great everyone was HAMMERED it was awesome. God we were so fucking tired after last night.. oh man. We just took the chunnel from Dover to Calais – it was pretty fucking surreal – you just drive inside a train, chill in your car for like 25 minutes, while you drive beneath the sea floor, and drive off the train right onto the highway in France. God damn. You gotta admit humans are pretty tight. We do some really dumb things but we have also made marvelous things. We are on the road driving to Amsterdam right now – really pumped up for that – I’ve never been there. It sounds like a really wonderful place.

MANCHESTER!!

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

We woke up on the Ferry at like 6:00AM and drove from there straight to Manchester – something like 6 hours. We ate at a place called M and S at a  rest stop on the highway, and it was actually super good – It’s some sort of health food chain that has little meals all made-up and stuff. As Peter, our awesome and kind driver and tour manager out here would say – its “proper.” We got into the venue in Manchester – the Academy, and it was rad. It’s a huge box of a room – just like we like it – no real frills just TONS of speakers and a big stage – rock and roll at its finest. WE got some time to chill and catch up on doing some business – I may or may not be working on a theme song for the Real World…  don’t know if I’m supposed to say that oooooops. We got some good food in the neighborhood – it’s a cool place – it’s actually on the grounds of the University in Manchester. It was cool to see a college vibe and see what it was like in a foreign city.
The Katy dudes came and soundchecked. They are such good musicians, man – it’s incredible. Adam and Josh are so good and play so well together and hold everything together – I’m in total awe every time I see them play. I broke into Katy’s wardrobe and sniffed around a little bit. She came and soundchecked and sounded great as always – she has a really powerful and true voice it’s awesome. I bet recording shit with her would be amazing it seems like she would track vocals so well.
The show that night was fucking CRAZY. Something like 2,200 people and they were going nuts! I think it was for sure one of the hypest opening sets we’ve ever done – it felt really good to have that sort of connection with a crowd, during an opening set. The subs are massive in that room – they have 24 18’ subwoofers total – it was insane – people were saying that the bass was making them nauseous in the pit – god that is amazing! I love it!
Katy killed it – her singles are undeniable in terms of how fun they are. EW drove towards London after the show and crashed out late, big day tomorrow – all sorts of press and great stuff for the band!

EUROPE TOUR..

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

I got to Stockholm on Friday afternoon, and our show was on Sunday night. I have been wanting to visit Sweden forever I’ve been really enamored with this place for a long time. It is amazing, I don’t know if it is my predisposition towards really likeing all things Swedish, but it really seems like people have a tighter sense of community here. Already everyone is so nice and curteous and smiling. Everyday interactions are conducted with cheer and politeness – it’s really incredible and welcoming. People are nice, beautiful and the city is awesome. I went into the Propellerhead offices on Friday and met everyone (they make a music program called Reason that I have been using forever to make music). They are a really great company – super progreassive and forward thinking and innovatice. The  people couldn’t have been nicer too – it was really great talking to them and knowing that the people behind the company are so wonderfully nice and interesting. Friday night clubbing with some Swedish friends – awesome – listening to soft-house remixes of top 40 songs and discussing how rad Sweden’s politics and social structure are with some of its young people – a great night. Sean got in on Saturday morning – overnight flight from NYC, so we took it easy and slept in, until we went out and met up with the Katy Perry dudes who were staying on the other side of town. Our friend Will got in later and we all went out to dinner. Walked around the old city, which is really beautiful – its on this island in the middle of the city. It was cold and snowing but we walked around a bunch and no one was complaining! Eventually we crashed out and got some sleep. Our tour manager and driver, Courtney and Peter, got in during the night, and the next morning we headed to the venue (Nalen) early. The place is amazing – like this old-style ballroom with a grand hallway entrance. We went and walked around the old city again – Sean bought an amazing sweater. All sorts of nature shit all over it. We got back to the venue, and eventually got soundchecked and everything. It was good to see Katy and her crew again! The show was awesome – it’s a little strange for us to open, because we’ve never done a tour as a support act, but it went really well – better than I would ever have expected! People were jumping up and down and some even knew the words to DON’T TRUST ME. Crazy. Some kids came all the way from Finland – a two-day trek – just to see us play. Amazing. We had to leave soon after we played, because the drive to Copenhagen is really long, and the roads were horrendous. We drove to our hotel (A couple hours outside of Stockholm) and crashed out. Today early wake-up and we’re on the road again – somewhere in the southern part of Sweden right now, a few hours away from the famous bridge to Copenhagen.

Copenhagen
We drove all day, and got to the southern coast of Sweden around 2:30. From there, to get to Copenhagen, you take  crazy suspension bridge that is really high in the air – It’s an incredible view of both coasts Apparently the engineers of the bridge had to MAKE and island in the middle of the water the bridge to land on. From that little island you dirve through a tunnet, and pop right up in Copenhagen on the other side. It was a really amazing stretch of road. Copenhagen rules – there are so many people on bikes, and it seems like most of the big roads have big, nice bike lanes for people. We got in and went to the venue. We though the show was at this place called Vega, but apparently it had been moved to this even bigger space a few miles away. It was a really retro kind of sporting facility with a big concert hall mini stadium thing in it – it was rad. People in Copenhagen, like in Stockholm are super nice and friendly, speak better English than we do, and are real good-looking. I think the Danish are the tallest people as a whole too. I like that. A lot. The show was really great – there were over 3,000 people in the hall. We slammed around in our usual fashion and had a ball of a time. WE got to watch Katy’s set this time and see our homies rock out – it was great seeing them in action again.

3OH!3

DRIVING
We got up early and mad our way to the van. Our hotel had a great view of Copenhagen, so we were reluctant to depart on a full day of driving. The trip for today – Drive from Copenhagen to This town in Holland, where we catch a ferry overnight to England. Driving and Driving and Driving – we finished up the Bourne trilogy in the van. Those movies are amazing. It’s our first tour in a van – we been on busses the past tours, and it is an interesting experience for sure – you see a lot more of the countryside, but it is way more tiring than being on a bus! After 12 hours of driving, we got to the ferry, had some dinner and attempted to cause some trouble but weren’t successful. The ferry was crazy – 10 floors tall and probably at least like 150-200 meters long.

STOCKHOLM!

oh man. Get here and everyone is SO NICE. It’s amazing – everyone smiles and is helpful and drives a Volvo. I’m in heaven.

LIVE GOAL ACHIEVED

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

I just saw Audrey Tautou in the streets of Paris. I pretended to be checking my voicemail for a bit to get a better look – SUPER SMOOTH. It was her. I’ve been coming to Paris for the last eight years pretty much solely for that. Just postin up on streetcorners. Not a creeper at all. Well my work here is done – Sweden here I come – I’m gonna be scoping your babes and fake checking my voicemail all over your streets, baby!

HOLLER AT CHORE BOY

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

I know its been a while since the last update at 3OH!3 HQ. I’m sorry Atlantic Records…I mean people reading this shit. A lot has been going on since we last spoke. We had a weekend of grandiose proportions in our home state of Colorado. We had the honor and delight of presenting the game ball at a Denver Nuggets game – so epic! Our buddy Ryan and everyone at the Nuggets have been so cool to us – hooking us up with all sorts of tickets, and eventually asked us to come in and do this – I can’t tell you how excited we were for it!

So much fun – our families and all our friends came along and we had a big Part-A nuggets style..

Friday and Saturday – sold out shows at the Ogden theatre – 1,700 people each night… What can we say really?? They had been sold out since something like the first day or two they went on sale. We can’t really express what that means to us.. To have that kind of support and love in our home.. its really incredible. We asked our good buddy Trevor aka DJ Skeet Skeet if he would be willing to come out and spin a set for the shows, and he graciously agreed. He fucking DESTROYED the Ogden. It was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a DJ work a crowd like that. He combines so many skills to result in the best DJ sets ever! He talks to the crowd, pumps everyone, dances harder than ANYONE, and plays the dopest songs… Its literally the best of all the DJ worlds. A perfect storm and amalgam of every style of DJing..  Hats of Trevor, you are DJ king!

www.eatskeet.com

courtside with the skeeter

courtside with the skeeter

We also asked out labelmate and buddy B.o.B. if he would come out and play with us, and he agreed, flying out all the way from Atlanta to come kick it in Colorado and destroy faces! We had met him on tour in Atlanta and in the Atlantic offices in NYC. He is the nicest dude ever, and his live show is AWESOME. He works the crowd harder than any rapper I’ve seen in a long time, singing and dancing so hard, and genuinely having FUN onstage, and making sure that everyone in attendance is feeling the same way. It is so awesome to see him perform! He is gonna be huge (there is NO WAY that he can’t be) – get on the B.o.B. train before it leaves your station.

www.myspace.com/bobatl

Our sets were so much fun.. Out of control and yet they felt cleaner than usual. We sweated, we bled, we cried a little. You guys in Colorado are unlike anywhere else.. It’s like the level of attentiveness and connection that goes down when we rock are pretty unique. Insanity – yes. Dancing – yes. Chaos – for sure. But it also seems like there is some sort of magical connection there where we all know something, and we all feed off this singular, shared energy.. you know what i mean? We asked Kam from the Chaing Gang of 1974 and Adam from Young Coyotes to play bass and drums on half of the sets, and they KILLED it – they are the best dudes ever and really really talented musicians! AHHHH COLORADO.

one happy family! playboy tre, ron, mack and B.o.B.

GET THE FUCK UP COLORADO!

GET THE FUCK UP COLORADO!

So there you have it! We’ve been busy since that particular weekend. One of us is in China, soon to take the trans-Siberian train from Beijing to Moscow (no big deal six days on a rickety, cold, box-car train), and one of us is in LA working on slamming, face-melting beats for other people’s songs. We’re getting PUMPED to go to Europe.

I can’t stop listening to this:

wholly chit im blogging so hard right now

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

thats right. glorious blogging about people. about different stuff or whatever. 3OH!3 updates or whatever. We’re over here getting ready for some EPIC shows in Colorado on the 16th and 17th.. We’re bringing in our buddy B.o.B. from Atlanta – he came out and did some songs at our show there and fucking melted everyone’s face off. It was real real tight. Skeet Skeet is also gonna be spinning some extremely delicious electronic BEATS. I’m thinking that it’ll be really loud. The sound at the Ogden may be the best I’ve ever heard in my life. Real heavy and huge sound, but really clean and pure at the same time. Just perfect basically.

You ever listen to that Beyonce “Halo” song?? Try it out. Might be the most epic song i’ve heard in a while.

check out what the best manager in the world  gave me:

pure sexual power in a synth

ALESIS ANDROMEDA A6… no big deal… i’ve been making all sorts of beats with this thing. nasty 1s, smoove 1s, salty 1s, horrid 1s. Mike thank you soo much!!

What else… We’re getting ready mentally and physically to go to Europe. We’ve been juicing our pecks all day everyday. We might find wives out there. No big deal. So fucking pumped to go out there. From what everyone says crowds are incredibly receptive to live music, and Katy has sold out every show in advance so there wont be a lack of people! Real pumped that I get to see my family in France – a bunch of the clan is coming the the show in Paris.

HAPPY 2009!!! 2000-mine!!

It’s gonna be a good year at 3OH!3 HQ.. We can feel it in the air. The Rocky Mountain wind whispers it in our ears when we least expect. It says “make a bunch of music… rock more and more EPIC shows.. make sure everyone has fun.. make sure everybody moves and smiles and sweats and feels ALIVE.”

and you know what we say??

We say, “Yes my good man. Yes sir. YES.”

END OF TOUR…

Oh yeah mammi… three or four hours of bad sleep in an airport la quinta. Bring it to me baby I want wayyy more of that shit. Got on an airplane for Tampa, Florida to go play a festival called the Next Big Thing for 97X, the radio station down there. They put us up in a nice hotel and we got to SLEEP!! Yeaya bwoy.. The show the next day was pretty rad. We were a little sketched out about it because we were slated to play at 10:40AM, and we didn’t know if there were going to be any people there that early, but it ended up that there were at least a few thousand people watching our set.. it was dope! Thanks for coming out early and looking so goddamn good, Tampa! We watched Pineapple Express that night and pissed ourselves laughing.

The next morning we got up early to fly to Chicago to play a private event. I was stoked to get some time to see Chitown – never really been able to kick it there for any significant period of time. The city is rad – we saw two amazing art museums and walked around in the wet, bitter, bone-chilling cold – good thing my huge fucking down jacket makes me untouchable!

It was snowing in Chicago when we left – we trudged through snow and sleet and ice to the train, kinda fucked up our trip to the airport, but got there in one piece and flew into Albuquerque. New Mexico was gorgeous! Sunny skies and nice temperature. The show was off the hook! Sold out show, and we were supporting Shiny Toy Guns, who are awesome people! The crowd was off the chain during our set – and innerpartysystem’s set too! Lots of jumping and crowd surfing and all that fun shit. Fuck yeah New Mexico way to show your neighboring Colorado some LOVE!!

We got into Tucson the next afternoon and went straight to the radio station (92.1) to do a little live on-air interview there. Everyone was super nice and fun there! We came back to the area where The Rock is, and walked around on 4th Avenue a bit – It was nice to be out in the sun and 70 degree temperature. Arizona you do that Winter stuff real good, girl, real good. I might have even taking my shirt off and been walking around in my tank-top telling everyone I passed that it was “sun’s out – guns out.” The show was crazy. So many people couldn’t get in because it was sold out.. we’re really sorry about that we’ll play a bigger spot next time AZ, we promise! We all (Sean, Kris, Jesse, Jarred, Andy and I!) went on stage for the Chain Gang set, and had so much fun playing instruments and banging on drums with Kam and Brandon.. it was so much fun. Our set was awesome – A wonderful young coupe got engaged on stage! Steve had hit us up ahead of time and asked if he could propose during our set. He came up and did it and we all went crazy! CONGRATS GUYS! Many happy years to you!

SAN DIEGO. san diego. I cant really put into words what the show was like. I guess I can start by saying that we were supposed to play the small room at Soma, about 500 people. It sold out real quick (amazing) so we moved the show to the big room. There were over 2,100 people that night at Soma going crazy. That is the biggest show we have ever headlined… come on Cali why do you have to treat us so well, girl. This night was the last night that the whole tour was together. Let me explain this a little bit. The whole tour, we had all been on the same bus. Innerpartysystem, the chain gang of 1974 and 3OH!3 on one tour bus. 12 people. 12 bunks. So much fun. Damn. So it was really bittersweet to know that this was the last night that we were all going to be together – we had all had so much fun on the tour and really become awesome friends and learned so much from everyone. So we decided to make it epic as fuck. The chain gang put on the best show I’ve ever seen them play. Innerparty fucking KILLED it. I really cant say too much more besides that they really made everyone feel happy that night! Our set was so fun – the crowd was amazing. HUGE and so responsive and stoked. The energy was so electric. On the last two songs (chokechain and don’t trust me) we played with everyone on the tour. That shit was so fun – two drummers, synth, screaming, singing, guitar, bass, percussion, lights etc. oh man… San Diego thank you so much..SO MUCH. You showed us so much support we cant possible express how grateful we are!

Vegas – we had a day off before our show on Sunday. We tooled around – some of us lost money, some of us won money, and some of us didn’t play. Eventually we all got together to go to see Nine Inch Nail’s last show of their tour, at Planet Hollywood. The show was fucking AMAZING. I had seen it already at Red Rocks in Colorado, and it was allthemore amazing in an indoor ampitheatre. God, what an amazing presence and talent Trent has, and what an amazing show they put on for everyone. It was Josh Freese’s last night in NIN, and he POUNDED so hard. What a show he put on. We got to meet him after the show (he is a good friend of our homie Danny Lohner – a former member of NIN and basically the raddest dude ever). He was super nice and a really interesting and intelligent dude. It’s really amazing to meet people that you admire and affirm that they are amazing people!

We played the next night in an arcade! We were supposed to play at Jillian’s in north vegas, bus the venue shut down during our tour, so the show had to be moved to Gameworks, right by the MGM Grand on the Strip. The show was fun as hell. It was officially the last show of the tour. The lighting setup felt like a late-night show, and the crowd was super cool. Lots of sing-alongs, and a fun night in general. Vegas is always fun – we’ll always come back to you, baby.

The next day we flew back to Atlanta. Apparently some gnarly snowstorm was coming into vegas, so we had to scramble to get out of the city into the ATL. We made it though, just barely! Back at the Masquerade! The situation was way different, for sure, but we would just like to put out a huge THANK YOU to Atlanta for coming out and partying with us AGAIN! Honestly we were incredibly touched by the understanding and support that people in Atlanta showed us when we were back there a couple weeks before and had to do an “altered” show because of the circumstances. Everyone on the tour ended up having an EPIC night that night, and we were excited to come back. The show was amazing. Lots of energy, lots of people, and lots of bittersweet, but good times. I think I said during the show that we would be back real soon. ATL – we’ll be back real soon. We cant stay away from you!

Flew back home the next morning. HOME!! HOME HOME HOME HOME!! Its almost like we get the best of both worlds! We get to tour to all the wonderful places and play there amazing shows for incredible people… and then we get to come home to the best place ever, and be amongst the most loving, considerate and wonderful people in the world. COLORADO. Colorado.

I know I’ve said this a lot over the past couple months, but I really cant adequately put into words what this tour was like… We are so grateful, touched, motivated and absolutely and completely flattered by everyone who came out to our shows, that we are at a rather helpless and funny loss of words. A lot of tours this fall went really badly. Ours was one of the most amazing and stimulating experiences of our lives. EVERY NIGHT WAS FUCKING SOLD OUT!!!!! That is INSANE! EVERY NIGHT! Every night we had fun. Every night we did what we love to do, and tried to make sure that everyone in attendance was having a good time. Oh man. I’m going to leave it at that because everything else I write is going to be a little bit weepy, girl. I hope you understand, America. We’ll be back everywhere real soon. We have plans to annihilate every place in the world. To make every organism on earth dance and fucking SWEAT. We are going to rock so hard over the next year, years, decades, eons. Do you wanna do it with us? We wanna do it with you… I can promise you that – we wanna feel what it is we feel with each and every one of you. Lets do it. Lets have fun. Lets destroy every town we can. Come on – here we go……

SOUTHERN LOVING… THAT GOES BOTH WAYS BABY

NOLA… driving through the bayou, over bridges over troubles waters, through stretches of plains and stretches of forests, and right down into the big easy. We were all super excited to have a day off in New Orleans, and we took full advantage of it – ate some jambalaya, some gumbo, walked around the French Quarter endlessly, ate beignets, threw rocks at the Mississippi, we were like kids in a candy store.
The next evening we got good news from another doctor about Sean’s vocal chords. Apparently they were hearling up well, and had some scabs on them, but he gave them the OK to sing if he thought he was ready… and he was! We played the Parish room at the House of Blues – our first time playing New Orleans and the show was awesome! Really we can tell you how amazing it is to play to a sold out crowd the first time you play in a city…

Waking up in Houston right next to some futuristic looking convention slash exposition center. I really interesting, massive building. We walked around to the downtown area and we were all super stoked on Houston! We took the awesome little train down to a place called “Breakfast Club” which apparently is where Beyonce takes Jay-Z out for breakfast when she is in her hometown, which is plenty good enough for me! It was dope as fuck – really nice atmosphere and people. Have you heard that new Beyonce shit yet?? You should probably get on that.. We played at the warehouse, and The Pirate Signal is back on for the rest of the tour, and we couldn’t be more excited about that! They kill it so hard live – they are so fun to watch. Show was great – we met a lot of really nice people afterwards, and we saw LOTS of smiling faces!

We got into Austin around noon, and all went out to get some coffee and food. Austin is awesome. What an amazing place for music! It’s insane that a town supports its music scene that well for that long – hats off to you Austin. We walked around a bunch, and even McGyvered our way to the top of the capitol building, where Brandon promptly slammed out 20 crisp, clean, and delectable push-ups. We played Emo’s that night, and the crowd was some of the craziest we have ever seen for chokechain.. it was really something else to see that!

Sunny San Antonio – our tour manager’s family was soooo nice and came and picked everyone up and brought us to their beautiful house and served us beautiful food. It was awesome… A million thanks to them! Even though Austin and San Antonio are so close, we palyed to a packed house! It was a really fun show. People were going crazy – pits opening up and shit! It was really cool to see.

Dallas.. are you serious Dallas?? Biggest show of the tour! The most people in ANY venue on this tour! Ohhhhhh shiiiit. So much fucking fun! We were all so pumped the whole day leading up to the show, knowing that we were gonna rock to over 1200 people! We rehearsed chokechain and don’t trust me with innerpartysystem playing instruments and lights, as well as chain gang! It was so much fun even during soundcheck – we couldn’t wait to do it live. The show was CRAZY – so many people. In retrospect, that is the largest crowd that we have ever headlined in front of.. And yall we fucking LIVE as hell. So much energy and so slammin of a set. Chokechain was REDICK.. thank you so much to the other bands for having fun with us onstage!!! Wow. I CANT WAIT to get back to the big D and rock out again!!! Seriously thanks so much..

DALLAS!

DALLAS!

Texas. Texas you do it good you know that… REAL good. It’s amazing how pumped you have made us over this summer and these recent shows! Gaddamn, Texas, I don’t wanna leave you baby..

lemme lemme upgrade you update you

B-more b-more b-cold! The venue is down in this really cool. Kinda Boston-looking cobblestone street district. We went to eat at a vegan restaurant and ate all sorts of veggie stuff, and drank some seriously intense juices and got all sorts of healthy. There was a blizzard outside, so we opened the doors to the show early so people didn’t freeze their asses off outside! The show was great! One of the most loose and fun shows on tour for sure. All of the bands were really having a lot of fun together and coming out on stage and stuff – it was a really cool atmosphere! Crowd was great fuck yeah B-more..

Charlotte… We woke up outside the venue and then went out to get some breakfast and walk to downtown. It was a nice little walk, and we got to peep a little bit of Sunday in the south – everything sloooowwwsss down! Spent some time in a graveyard and pondered what we would do when the zombies came. We had different opinions. It got a little heated. It almost ended in fisticuffs. Came back to the show and rocked the fuck out! Crowd surfing, yessir. We did the hidden ending to an early version of I’m not your boyfriend – it was pretty funny.

Day off in Charlotte. People did some laundry. We got to run some errands and run some fucking mad game on Charlotte, baby. Ryan you rule for taking us around, man!

Columbia SC you have a gorgeous river. The bridge from the Tavern to downtown is probably the sweetest thing ever. It was a perfect day out too. Walked around and got to see the city a little bit. The show was cool – there were people basically dodging pool tables and shit off to the left – a lot of peeps!

We got into Atlanta pretty early – the Masquerade is INSANE – the craziest venue. We walked around the grounds a bunch and Johnny P got us all educated on the history of the place. Our buddy Little Ronnie came and picked me up and took me around to Southside Atlanta to see his baller-ass mansion! That’s what happens when you absolutely anhilate beats on the regular! If you hear a hot-ass beat on the radio, it’s probably Ronnie who made it! He is the illest dude ever. During this time Sean was at the ENT specialist doctor’s office. He had been having a weird feeling in his throat for a while, and eventually got in to see a specialist. They stuck a camera down his throat, and after a bunch of really intense procedures, they found a small tear in his right vocal chord….. FUUUCK. The doctor said that Sean needed to go on a strict vocal rest regimen for at least 5 days (aka no talking for five days!) We found all this out a couple of hours before the doors opened to the show, and there were already hundreds of people waiting in line to get in. So we decided to let the show go on, and have the other bands play, and that I would do a few songs on my own (Sean danced along), and then I would DJ a dance party afterwards. We are SO SORRY about the show, Atlanta, and we rescheduled it for the 15th of December – we’re gonna fly in at the end of our tour to rock out proper for you! When all was said and done it was one of the most fun nights on tour. I cant tell you people who came how thankful we are for your support and understanding. Really it is incredibly touching and seals my faith that we have THE BEST MOTHERFUCKING FANS IN THE WORLD!!!! and what about B.o.B coming out and rocking the fuck out with us! That shit was soo fun and he kills it so hard – we were super flattered that he came out to the show!

Thanksgiving on the beach! If you cant be with your family, you might as well share thanksgiving with your homies on a beach in Jacksonville Beach Florida! It was really fun – We love all of our tour-mates, man this has been a really incredible time on tour!

Jacksonville – Innerpartysystem and Chaing Gang played, along with our buddies Stella by Starlight, and we hung out and chatted with people who came to the show. Thanks so much to everybody for coming! We’re really DEEPLY sorry we had to cancel, but we will be back really soon and rock that much harder for you! We had to cancel Orlando as well – and you KNOW when we come back we will get our party on you. Thanks so much to everyone for buying tickets, and make sure to get your refund for the show!

Day off in Ocala today… according to the ENT Dr., we should be good to rock out in New Orleans, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for that..

We’re keeping our backs to the wind, our tans to the sun, our faces clean and our spirits high!

Love.

I’m sorry I’ve been out of touch, girl… I love you though…are you mad at me??

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Oh man what a whirlwind.. where to begin?? At the beginning? Or towards the climax, or more towards the intrigue part? Lets start right after Des Moines…

We got into Milwaukee in one piece, and pulled up to The Rave, an amazing venue. This place has three separate floors of venues, and is so amazing and pretty genuinely creepy. Everyone was flipping out about the place being haunted and seeing ghosts and shit.. whatevs, the place was so rad! Election day! I had been stressing out a lot and thinking non-stop about our future and the way our society was going to be shaped over the next few years… Anyways, we spent a really  nice afternoon around the club, and eventually got to playing. I left my camera outside our bus on the curb like an idiot..  If anyone picked up a canon camera with a bunch of pictures of bloody us from Halloween and some other random shit on it – hit me up!! I would love to get it back! Anyways, when we were going on, Obama had won Ohio and Penn. So it looked good. We went on and the show was awesome. The room was really wide and super expansive, and there were a LOT of people going nuts – it was awesome. We had so much fun. We finished and got onto the bus, and amidst me trying to recover from the show and settle down, I received the news that Obama had won – I can’t describe the joy I felt. It was like nothing I have ever felt before. We couldn’t be touched that night – it was one of those nights of pure joy and ecstasy. Wow. WOW!!! I’m so proud and happy right now!

St. Paul in the morning – we found a nice breakfast spot, and devoured some egg-themed plates – I think the mighty ducks films might have been shot there or something. We got a lot of stuff done that day in St. Paul’s cool little downtown area. It was nice to feel productive and like we were catching up on stuff! The show was HOT, literally. So fun and the sound in the venue was HUGE. Minn you guys fucking represent. It’s awesome! There were a lot of people and the vibe was really fun and great! I can’ wait to get back to you guys!

Chi-City what up> Actually Lamont what up? We woke up at the venue, which was a really funny club, which looked like it was recently converted into a venue. We went into downtown Chicago to do an interview and performance for Q101, the radio station. Tt was really cool to get into downtown and see it. Warped was pretty far out and we didn’t really get to hang out at all. The radio stuff was tight – I have no idea what we said but I’m guessing it was both offensive and real dumb, but sort of dangerously sexy, you feel me, motherfucker? We went back to the venue and the show was pretty off the hook. There was an awesome couple who proposed onstage. It was real touching. There were people on the stage, like literally sitting onstage because there were too many people in the venue… I hope I didn’t step on too many hands! Fun show though – really crazy –
Chitown you guys really know how to support music!

Here we come Michigan.. Pontiac baby – we had heard a week or so beforehand that we had been moved to play at a place called The Crofoot, a 1,100 or so person club in Pontiac, and that it was sold out!! That’s was so awesome for us – and the show that night was really something else. The sound at the Crofoot is HUGE, and the crowd was all over the place and singing and dancing! Our biggest crowd on the tour so far! Sean did some cliffhanger shit on the sprinkler bars, probably real dumb – but real fun! We got pampered at the venue, and boy did if feel AWESOME!

Waking up in Cleveland baby – poor Johnny P doing laps around the Cleveland Heights streets for hours trying to find a place to park our bus. We finally got it parked and went to eat breakfast at this bomb-ass place. It was slammin. Real good, girl. I love it when you make me breakfast. It’s probably the best thing in the world. Got to nerd out a bit and make some beats. Then we went off to the AP offices and did an interview for the online deal with their music director. It was pretty tite! We got to see the lake and the city a little bit on the way to the offices. Sorry about our Broncos handing the Browns their asses in the final minutes of that game, though Cleveland… jay cut baby. We almost broke the dance floor again. This one was fucking PAVED over with CEMENT. And it was shaking all over the place. Awesome energy, poor kids getting annihilated against the stage…

Pittsburg is tight as hell… what the shit Pitt, you really were going to hide the fact that you’re dope like diamond rope?? Do you really not like me to that point? We got to go shower at the dorms in downtown, and it was a godsend. Hot water so intense it was scalding…gimmie more! Thank you to the nice young ladies who let us in! We hung out south side and the club we played looked like a Kanye video should be filmed there – a WALL of lights. So gangster.

Day off in Buffalo – here comes the cold weather – break out that DOWN JACKET, son. We got some good rest and watched Tropic Thunder in the hotel and we all pissed ourselves laughing. We all went out to a nice dinner and had good times. The show the next night was at a funny little bar in downtown – it was super intimate and fun! Buffalo has been really great – we played so early on warped and people were still there in hoards and going nuts, and then the show this time was even more intense..

We got up mad early and Flew to LA to go do the Carson Daly show. It actually ended up being really a lot of fun. I was a bit apprehensive about how it was going to go for us. It seems to me like most times TV stuff doesn’t really do bands justice and it is hard to capture any sort of feeling from it. But everyone at Carson was really awesome and very accommodating and stoked. They had built a little stage for out puppet idea that we did – it was really flattering that they had done that much stuff for it! We performed two songs, Don’t Trust Me that they were airing the next night, and then starstrukk for sometime in the near future.
The next morning we went to Fuel TV to do a performance for the Daily Habit, which, if I remember correctly, should air in early December. Then we went to the Nokia Theater, which is right downtown LA, and brand new. We opened for Taking Back Sunday there. They are super nice dudes and were really nice and thanked us a bunch for coming – it was really humbling. They put on a great show! I played DJ for a while at the after party..badly..I’m out of practice.
Next day we went to the EMI studios in Santa Monica to do some music creation, some brewing of the beets, some flexing of the Pro Tools muscle. It was rad. We played some piano, some synth, some beats, some computer. After that we went to the Nike warehouse slash headquarters and got FITTED OUUUUUTT. Tim is so rad there I can’t even begin to explain. It’s some future shit for sure they have going on there  Wo. So rad.
Next morning AP photos hoot mostly of us beating the shit out of nerds. I mean really pummeling those little buggery fuckers. Over to Danny Lohner’s aka D-Lo the most badassest of badasses to click on some more buttons on the computer. So fun.

Here we go, another early morning flight to Boston, back to meet up with our beloved tourmates. We missed them. Boston was COLD! The show was great though – warped here this summer was one of the craziest crowds ever. Four Year Strong’s crowd was hands down the craziest shit I’ve even seen in my life. There were VERTICAL LAYERS of people. Crawling all over each other and LOVING IT. It was really eye-opening.

DAY OFF IN NYC!! Awesome – walked around and zoned out and it felt really wonderful. Had a great dinner with good friends and slept like a baby on a little air mattress, so well that I slept through letting friends into their own apartment…fail.
The next day was a whirlwind of a day. Photoshoot, MTV, Sirius radio, then over to Atlantic, then the venue, then another interview, then play a show that was AWESOME, one of the most fun of the tour for sure. It was awesome to see people in NYC jumping for their lives and having a good time. Lots of good friends there – it’s amazing to us to have a sold out crowd in NYC, a place that we love so much.. god we never thought that could happen!!

We got into Philly in the morning, and all went out and had a nice little breakfast at the Reading Terminal Market. Then we went to see some history. We walked around and saw the liberty bell, and then signed up for a tour of Independence Hall. We decided to get all Nick Cage up in there. Straight up National Treasure shit. There will be a forthcoming video… lets just leave it at that. The Troc is a really cool venue. We were in the upstairs room, and the poor dudes in the other bands had to load everything in up a long, narrow flight of stairs… suuuuuucks. But the room up there was crazy – straight up theatre style, really narrow and deep stage – It was a really fun show. The TROC!!

We pulled up to Hackensack the next day and had some time to kill before we went to the venue to load in, so we kicked it at some swanky-ass mall. All sorts of expensive shit… The School of Rock is pretty sweet – it’s just in this warehouse in the middle of an industrial district, but that stage is actually real cool. The show was fun great energy and lots of jumping.. all right..  I think that catches us up.. now we are on the bus to B-more, we’ve been getting all the Wire-d out recently so we are pumped!

WHOLLY CHIT

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

so here’s my deal… my whole and uncut deal… the whole of my deal if you will. This last week has been CRAZY! where did we leave off, babe? maybe a little place called SPOKANE? oh yeah i think it was. We got to town. had a nice little breakfast downtown with the whole crew, went to the hotel, got some sleep, and then got ready for the mayhem that was to follow. Apparently sometime during our show, the crowd broke the dancefloor, quite literally. There were a bunch of floorboards cracked so that the basement lights were coming through. Damn Spokane dances mad TOUGH. We proceeded to climb atop your huge Radio Flyer statue/slide, and yell. a lot.

OK here we come Boise… We had a great time there on warped..  we got out a little bit and got to see the city and have a nice dinner and go out a little bit. I really loved the town then.. I fell in love this time.. in a not-so-innocent way, boise – how the fuck you feel about that?? We got into town and chilled – I got to go make some fresh beats in isolation, and it felt really good to stay productive. The show was sooooo fun! The Venue rules.. we got to do lights for the first time.. There was such huge energy that night it was awesome.. i think both of us sprained our ankles jumping off the 8 foot speaker stacks.. i had a small grapefruit attached to my ankle the next day.. Boise. Awesome.

SLC-me. pleaaaaaase! We got to see Salt Lake City on warped too, and the downtown is really rad. Check out Fice if you get a chance – it’s got some dope threads and it’s run by real good peeps. We went to X96, the radio station there and did some more on-air vomiting. It was real funny. They have been playing our song for a while and it was cool to see the station. The show was crazy – a LOT of people, and the venue was crazy – looked like an old church or something, and the speaker system was way too loud – just the way we like it… It’s crazy – these shows just keep getting better and better, and we can’t stop destroying shit and having fun!

WAKE UP IN COLORADO!!!!!! oh man..  is there a better homecoming – an early morning in the beautiful front range? no. no better. well maybe. some that might compete. but pretty goddamn good regardless. We had a day off in CO. so nice. Then we did a little thing called SLAM THE FUCK OUT ON HALLOWEEN!!!! somehow there were like 70 of our best friends backstage, and I think at one point every single person down there was yelling at the top of their lungs.. It was out of control. so was the show. i don’t think we can really express what it’s like to come back to colorado and see the incredible support and really feel it… it’s so flattering and incredible. Nothing compares to it. Nothing compares to you, Colorado.

November 1st again at the Gothic in Colorado – again so fun! Probably a little cleaner and more cohesive of a show, and we really got to see the INSANE dedication and awesome power of the crowd. The way you guys react and support our show, and the energy it gives us is insane. Feeding off each other like that is really, really amazing. and addictive! Best crowd ever!!! really i can’t find too many words to describe what that is like for us..

Day off.. driving to Grand Island Nebraska. Some dinner with the homies. some hotel action. pretty standard. except for the Quaker State garage next door to the hotel that had this to say:

trannies

trannies

awesome.

Des Moines. The venue was right downtown – it was really nice, we got to kick it around all day and be productive. Made some nasty beats. Earlier we had gone into the radio station (105.1 in Aimes, Iowa). We’ve been getting played a lot on that station, and I guess people have been flipping out about Dont Trust Me. We got a little tour of Aimes, where Idaho State University is – seems like a fun college town.. The show was in a really dope place in Des Moines with three levels.. There were a ton of people, and we were all going NUTS! Dudes on shoulders with shirts off going apeshit.. oh yeah! so dope. so HOT. Des Moines you were so fucking rad – really supported all of us and you guys bought a lot of t-shirts from innerpartysystem and Chain Gang – that really means a lot to all of us!! fuck yeah!!

This morning, after cracking a rim on our bus, and Johnny P. being the best dude ever like he is getting all this old house and shit on the bus. We got two new tires too cause they were about to blow out! and here we are on the way to Wisconsin.. oh yeah.

some dudes on the bus

some dudes on the bus

this tour is getting better and better – crowds are bigger and bigger – every show so far has sold out and the atmosphere has been absolutely amazing! we’re gonna keep TEARING IT UP ALL OVER AMERICA, AMERICA!!!

TOUR BABY

Monday, October 27th, 2008

i know baby i’m so sorry… i know i didn’t call yesterday, girl but sometimes when you’re on the road you just don’t really get any time to yoursel….come on, baby…please don’t do this i won’t be unfaithful , oh! hey there america! sorry i was just having a little discussion with my stock broker there…

WOW. so i know it’s been a while but, fuck man… What an awesome first week of tour! Let’s see if I can recap a litle bit!

San Fran – We played on the biggest outdoor stage ever.. there were motherfuckers on dirt bikes doing backflips about 100 feet away! there was a 30-foot high mound of snow 50 feet away! It was dope they were filming us with cranes and stuff and the crowd was really awesome – they even started puddle stomping towards the end and everyone got real rowdy! We played the afterparty at a club, and that was real fun too!

Fresno – We had met up with the innerpartysystem guys the night before – man they are so great! Really nice and intelligent dudes – and their music is awesome! Kam and Brandan from the Chaing Gang of 1974 were aboard too – the nicest most sunny dudes ever! Off to Fresno – the HOTTEST muhfuckin room ever! Sold out! It was a perfect place…hahahah. a concrete room full of the most enthusiastic, sweaty, crazy kids ever – i really don’t think i’ve ever sweated that much in my life. both of us were essentially naked by the second or third song much to the dismay of the crowd! Such a fun show! The best way to kick off our tour!!

San Jose – We got into the radio station there in the morning. They have been playing Dont Trust Me, and we went and did a really fun, really crazy on-air thing for them! It was awesome..  we did and accoustic version of Dont Trust Me, and then a bunch of freestyle rock and roll! The show that night was off the fucking chain. The place is a roller rink, and the stage was set up on the side of the rink. By the time we went on it was some straight-up Beatlemania shit! It was awesome! There were people on every side, and it was like we were playing on a 360 stage… so many smiling faces and such enthusiasm it was great.. i ran out onto the roller rink at one point and got chased around by a bunch of fast-ass people on roller skates..  i think it was during chokechain

Sacramento – Had the best breakfast burrito ever.. Dylan hooked it up! It’s been great having The Pirate Signal out here! They KILLED it and kill it every night. Yonas is such a good party starter and it sets the tone for such an awesome time. I fell face-first into a moniter REAL HARD on Dont Trust Me..hahaha. We both crowdsurfed a bunch it was really fun! During Dont Trust Me we could barely hear the music over all the people singing it was insane!

New York City – We flew to NYC the next morning to play the Photo Finish showcase for CMJ. It was at the knitting factory. It was awesome we got to see so many good friends, and my french friend finally got to see a 3OH!3 show and I think she had a lot of fun! The stage was real small, but the attitude was real big. I dont really know what the last sentence means. but i like it. a lot. DJ iPod was killing it, we were jumping and flailing as usual and found ourselves with our usual onstage party for the last song!

Portland – is so fucking nice, man. We got in all and spent the whole day tooling around the beautiful city. We’ve had such good luck with the weather when we’ve been there! The show was in this cool place called the Hawthorne – we had a bunch of friends there and it was a real party – the atmosphere was really electric. Our friend danny was in some sort of boylesque on stage…i dont really know…

Seattle – my first time in the city, and it is sooooo nice. Two good friends of mine were so kind to show me around all day, and Seattle is the best city ever – gorgeous and dynamic! We played the Nectar Lounge – let me just say it was LOUD! Their sound is huge there – perfect for our shit! The crowd was crazy – as is becoming the norm for our crowds – it’s the best thing EVER!!! We were crowdsurfing and slam dancing all night – so much fun!

whoooooffff….. there’s a little re-cap for you, if any of you little weasels out there care to read.. my hands are tired, but my heart is free. I also have NO IDEA what that means, but i also like it, a lot. I’m addressing this whole blog thing like a journal i think.. i hope you don’t mind, AMERICA.. i hope you don’t mind, WORLD… i hope you don’t mind, UNIVERSE….

It’s fun. back to good ol fun in front of the computor. every once and a while you just can’t stop having fun making shit. it’s awesome. No but for reals if you care to listen here we go. We got up at like 5:30AM NYC time, went to their airport, were fortunate enough to get exit seats on our plane ride to Los Angeles. I was in a middle exit seat. I cried a little during Enternal Sunshine. Twice. That “what do you want to do???”…”Enjoy it.” part fucking kills me every time. Kills me so good. Land. Fix our makeup, make our ways to Anaheim for a sold out show at Chain Reaction. It was INSANE. the people were going NUTS and it was soo hot and sweaty. What a reception!
